Swiss Schools on four Continents

17 Swiss schools abroad provide education for some 6'700 children based on Swiss principles. This means that Swiss children who attend these schools are able to maintain a link with Switzerland, while also attending a multi-cultural school and benefiting from bilingual education from the kindergarten onwards. English is also taught at all these schools. A further benefit is that these children are able to transfer at any time to the Swiss school system without any difficulty whatsoever. They may study in  Switzerland if they complete their schooling with a school-leaving certificate (Matura) or with the International Baccalaureate (IB).

The schools promote the cultural presence of Switzerland abroad. Many former pupils now hold important positions in politics and in the economic world. The Swiss schools have deep roots in their host countries and enjoy a reputation of high educational quality.
